Dr Jatindera reviews progress of developmental works in Udhampur | KNO

UDHAMPUR, MARCH-24  (KNO) : Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh today chaired a meeting of district officers to review the progress of ongoing developmental works and major project in the district.

Member Legislative Assembly, Ramnagar R.S Pathania, District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, Superintending Engineers, PWD R&B circle Udhampur, Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle, Udhampur, Assistant Commissioner Revenue , Subash Dogra, Assistant Commissioner Development, Angrez Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra, Executive Engineers, PWD, PHE,PMGSY, REW, District Social Welfare Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Santosh Kotwal,and other district officers of different department were present on the occasion.

During the meeting , the minister took detailed review of various centrally sponsored schemes including PWD, PMGSY, RDD and CRF road, status of indoor and outdoor stadium Ramnagar , implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission, Maintenance of old road Chenani to Nashri etc. Singh stressed for pacing up the work on various ongoing developmental works and assured liberal funding for the major projects so that they don’t get delayed. Expressing concern over the increasing pollution of Devika River, Dr Singh said that immediate effective measures should be taken up for its cleaning and conservation. He said a DPR of the project is already prepared and will be sanctioned soon.

DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar apprised Dr. Singh about the achievements made in the district under different Centrally Sponsored Schemes during the current year. Highlighting the various achievements of the Government, Dr Singh said that various initiatives have been taken by the present dispensation for the development of the district. The Minister further assured that the Government is endeavoring to complete the construction work of all the PWD, PMGSY and CRF Roads by the year 2019.(KNO)
